What a surprise...

Postby andy_coupe78 » Wed Jun 17, 2009 8:42 am

Okay, so there I was in Waterstone's looking for the latest Bond novel; and I popped over to the Cars section just for fun. And chancing upon a thick, thick book entitled "1001 Dream Cars", I thumbed it open to see if the lovely Fiat Couple was featured in it, although highly unlikely given that it would have too many supercars competing for a spot in the pages.

And surprise, surprise- there it was, a broom yellow Fiat Couple 20VT, gracing right on the first page itself! And if the book wasn't so heavy, I'll get a copy and bring it back to share during TT; but at least you owners know that you have that "1" in the 1,001 dream cars in the world

Well it ain't not much of a review besides a mention of young Chris Bangle designing this car before hopping over to Beemer and the technical info; but to have it featured in the book is quite a feat already, IMHO.

I also own a dream car

It will be very interesting to see how many of us will still be having the Coupe in 15 years time. Then it will be a classic for sure.

It's GBP20 here, great book to accompany the coop but damn thick and heavy, mate.

Okay guys, dropped by the local bookstore again today and saw that there are only 3 books left- when I first posted about this book, there were more than 20 copies. Some of you have asked me to help buy this book but I wanted to wait till I fly, but since there are only 3 left, I think I'd make the purchase and send back. Who wants the book? It's listed as GBP20 and I'll send it back vide a Malaysian cargo company here.

This was what enticed me :

PM me if you want a copy, I'm buying my copy over the weekend. You will pay GBP x MYR ER + MYR15 share of courier cost, okay? Vide Paypal or Maybank account.

Bringing up an awfully old post, but a few of us bought the (albeit older version) of the book during the Big Bad Wolf sale.

It's nice to own a dream car..
