Owning a white car I can say it's a bitch to make her look clean all the time. Polishing a white car can give u little effect, so plus or minus point.

While red, doesnt look dirty easily. Polish and wax will give u that gloss and wet look, a stunner. If you leave it untreated under the sun, it will have diff shades (kaler mati).

As for Redd, i dont know ler. Lu tgk sendiri.

White also nice. The shade on the new MiTo is classic.

But it depends on: is the car kept in an enclosed garage/basement at most times, are you a detailing buff?, how often do you feel the urge to wash your car?, etc.

Then, white can be a good choice.

Cheers!!

water stain on white is more apparent than on any color. Not to mention some tar smears here and there...

And once you detailed ur car, red will give more satisfaction. With white, the difference is less.

My 156 also gets lotsa compliments because it is red (Rosso Corsa). Red is definitely striking and nice!

However, with the 147...I think white looks nicer on it! Seen white and red 147s...I prefer the white.

RK's white 147 looks really really nice! The other red bella looks great as well! Beautifully detailed! Can see a lot of TLC put into the rides!

There are a few sheds of red for the Ferraris. You can ask the paintshop boss to pull out the catalogs and show you the different sheds.

I was contemplating between the Rosso Corsa and the Scuderia red at that time. The Scuderia red had a whiter base and did not look so deep like the Rossa Corsa.

You can ask the guys to spray a sample of each shed for you to see and decide.

Cheers!

normally id say red, but not everyone can - or dares - to carry that colour. i also find that red really brings out the lines in the italian cars.

white on the 147 is nice too, but u gotta be sure to get the stock alfa white - i think its called arctic white. its got a slight cream tone to it. the pure white white some ahbengs use on their civics (and think its honda championship white) is ugly.

You dont have to tell us again! Your nickname already indicates this!

With the white, yes...some of their sheds are yellowish and ugly!

Btw, what is wrong with the Honda championship white? It looks quite nice on the Type-Rs. You bias and against Hondas ar?!

Saw a beautifully painted 156 SW at emech on Monday.

Owner claims its the 8C red. Colour code, 220B, Glasurit. Wish I have the pix to post here. The color is basically metallic with a red shade lacquer finish. Fuiyyohhh!!! 8-)

the white on a 147 makes it looks cool and composed. Not many small cars can pull off white but on the 147 its like a match made in Milan.

the race red or maybe the alfa red makes the car look menacing and ready to pounce. Again, not many cars can pull of this kind of red normally associated with Ferraris.

If you're looking for something thats gets your heart pumping before even stepping in the car get the red. But if you want a car that looks confident and doesnt have to shout its way around, get the white.

For real enthusiasts (and rightly especially Alfistis) would know cars are all about emotions. Not a piece of metal.
