Wheels Weekly Update Thread

Postby ingolstadt » Mon Aug 18, 2008 9:08 pm

Hi guys, i guess it's simply a waste of bandwidth and cluttering the IA forum for me to continue posting updates here by opening new threads every time. So I guess perhaps a dedicated thread to put in links here and I'll post my new updates ala 'Manual RSS Feeder' for the site. Of course I wouldn't do extra work copy pasting here and taking up bandwidth, (I also need some support to become the 2nd largest Malaysia car blog also mar~ )

Fore note:
As a routine automotive blogger, we scour the internet reading news from various other blogs, forums, subscribe to Autonews and collate all info we obtained, should the photos be of 'Originally shot by the particular blogger themselves, we will pay homage by quoting the source, if not then 'undertable-mutual-understanding' rules apply.

And Wheels Weekly is not some startupanddieoff automotive blog, I'm dedicating longer hours blogging than my daily routine job (hope my boss don't read this) and my promise for the blog, for my hardwork, for my dedication IS:

1. To update as frequent as possible, no nation boundaries, anything regarding automotive that i can get my hands on.

2. NO ANNOYING ADVERTISEMENTS OR ADSENSE - Just pure outright petrolhead passion (Dun have Alfa mar..), my blog is not to make money, but i can't promise if later i got famous and was invited as spokesperson for Ferrari - That, I wouldn't reject. :)

3. Contrary to what many does, I will not post meaningless facts and figures such as 4762mm 1832mm ..... or unladen 3853lbs laden 4875lbs (you get me), however such figures might be used in my articles if the angle of reporting requires. (I wouldn't blog from the spec sheet in short)

Hopefully if no member or moderator objects, I'll start putting in previews of my story with the links of posts I've done, once every 5 articles are up. Support me ok? I only need moral, and some keyboard typing comment support - and of course if i got fired, i'll let you guys know.

Thank you !

In WW's latest update, we'll tell you why ourDirty Exhausts might have been the protector from the full onslaught of Global Warming, also, we have theNew Saab 9-5 sketch revealed! during the Saab Owner's Convention 2008, and word has it thatMclaren's Supercar will be redesigned, resulting a one year delay. To lift up the spirit, theFast and Furious 4 Trailer was released, showing some kick ass (fake) maneuverings (as always). News from Chrysler, theViper might be sold off as interested parties had enquired possibilities (a new brand called Viper?). Also on performance, Audi had launched theAudi R8 GT3, for the participation into the GT3 racing series, while more racing efforts was evident from Ingolstadt, the Ultimate Driving Machines hadcancelled the E92 CSL due profitability issues. And as if speed was a serious issue, the authorities in China had devised theultimate speed slowing road block that's seriously effective and as always, with unbelievable stupidity. Moving over to UK, the October issue showsCAR Magazine driven the RS5? While we're not really sure if that's how the RS5 would look like, Audi released theAudi RS6 Video showcasing the car's styling in details, and if the RS6 is good looking, theBMW X6 would at the same time spoil your appetite with it's performance, and it's looks. There's also the launch of the bumblebee where GM arranged a press drive, however the folks at Jalopnik somehow got hold of aMustang and Challenger and crashed Camaro's party hyping things up, yet with GM's PR person's disgust. Moving over to Spain, Audi surprises everyone with theAudi RS5 Evo which is a tuned up version of the S5's 4.2 ltr V8.

That's all for today's 'Weekly' updates. Enjoy!
